WikiParma: Parma Partecipazioni Calcistiche

lucarelli-4

We inaugurate a new section of the website dedicated to explain who are the main characters in Parma Calcio World: Nuovo Inizio, Parma Partecipazioni Calcistiche, Museum Association, Centro Coordinamento Parma Clubs, etc.

First chapter is dedicated to Parma Partecipazioni Calcistiche (PPC) that we had the chance to discover better during a chat with Franco Bardiani, that we thanks since now for his kindness.

At the end of 2014/15 season, a courthouse decided that Parma FC had officially to disappear due to failure procedure that was the consequence of Ghirardi/Leonardi administration. In two months, just two months, two different entities was born and took charge of Parma Calcio rebirth: Nuovo Inizio, a 7 Parmesan businessmen group about whom we will talk in next chapters, and Parma Partecipazioni Calcistiche, the popular action started from Parma citizens.

Due to the impulse of Giorgio Orlandini and Marco Ferrari – that was also one of the “Magnificent 7” businessmen of Nuovo Inizio – PPC was born in July 2015. The idea behind it was absolutely innovative for Italy: bring a group of fans to have a quote of their football club. At the very beginning it was almost a sort of pact between friends to which various kind of people took part: not just businessmen but many normal citizens that decided to participate even with one singular quote of 100 euro value, that represented their personal brick to rebuild Parma Calcio.

The first subscription involved 144 people that contributed with different amounts – starting from 100 euro, one action cost – and that represented the 30% of the newborn Parma Calcio 1913. The remaining 70% was by Nuovo Inizio that participated with almost 2 millions euros. PPC represents Parma town and Parma fanbase inside Parma Calcio 1913 board: one of the 9 member of the board is Paolo Piva, lawyer, PPC council member. Having small percentage of a society doesn’t mean to have a huge voice in decisions but it is a way to have a look to what happens inside it, to be a sort of guarantee for Parma fans and citizens.

After the joining of Chinese new majority owner Desport (Hope group) that now got 60% of Parma Calcio 1913, the percentage of Nuovo Inizio is 30% and PPC has a 10%.

Despite the obvious quote percentage reduction due to new investment needs linked with fast promotions, the number of subscribers of PPC action is increasing until almost 900 people. Between them, not just citizens of Parma but also people from Canada, Israel, United States, Switzerland, France, UK…

Second self-introduction for abroad Parma Official fans club. Nick from Giannina tells the story behind his club, Parma Club Grecia, recently become official. Greek delegation use to come to Parma every year, discover some pictures in the slide show. Look forward for meeting you in Parma vs Lazio match on 21st October!

“Hi to all Parma family. My name is Nick Paramithiotis and I live in Greece. The first acquaintance with Parma was the Christmas of 1997, when my little brother gave me a gift, the 2nd official shirt of 1997/98. This would be the beginning of a big passion and a big love for Parma. My childhood dream was a Greek club of Parma and that dream came true in the summer of 2012. The goal of Parma Club Grecia is to unite all of Parma’s Greek fans and keep the flag of the team up, also in Greece. The beginning was difficult, but the club now has over 100 members. Just a month ago, our club became a official member of Centro Coordinamento Parma Clubs. We would like to thank Parma Fans Worldwide for help.

Everyday we publish on our Facebook page news for our favorite team, tributes to the history of the team, to the players who have played in Parma, to the fans and many others. Every year we travel to Parma to see the team. Our club is the only one in Greece that has made a trip to the lower championships like Serie D, keeping our promise that good and bad, we will be there. We also have our own store with products such as t-shirts, hoodies, hats, scarfs and many more, for all Parma Fans.

Thank you for hospitality. See you in Parma on October 19th.

FORZA PARMA PER SEMPRE E OVUNQUE”

Yesterday in Tardini Stadium took place the first Meet&Greet – hoping it was the first of a series – of the season in which Captains Alessandro Lucarelli and Bruno Alves took photos with fans and signed pictures, t-shirs and… a flag!

We asked Captain Lucarelli to sign our flag dedicated to him and that was also the occasion for us to give him a special t-shirt we made before Parma vs Juve match with a The Plin in the back:

“Everybody is talking about Cristiano, but one day his brother, Alessandro Ronaldo, a defender, will come and make history more than him” [referred to the arrival of Captain brother, Cristiano Lucarelli, to Parma one year before him]

It is nothing against the great champion, Cristiano Ronaldo, but it is our way to underline  that for us NOBODY would be better than Alessandro Lucarelli.

We gave a t-shirt to Bruno Alves to, as good omen for the season and for the captain role handover. Maybe will give it to Cristiano, who knows 😉

34 years of Gemellaggio

Parma Calcio is a Family, when you come in the town and especially in Tardini you notice it. It is the kind of things it is more difficult to explain by words than to feel.

Between Parma and Empoli there is a friendship that last since 1984. On 25th November 1984 during Parma vs Empoli match in Serie B there was so much fog that some Boys Parma fans – usually located in Curva Nord – went in the opposite side of the stadium to watch at least the goal on that side, where Parma was trying to score: we were loosing 1 to 0 but Empoli fans didn’t know it because they could not see the opposite side goal because of the fog.

At the end of the mach some Parma fans that were in Curva Sud congratulate with Empoli fans for the victory and they were surprised by that since they supposed it ended with a 0 -0 draw. The chat ended up with some beers after the match and there begun one of long-lasting friendship in Italian football history.

Rivals on the field but friend outside: the link grew year by year and soon the Gemellaggio was officialized with a flags parade before a match. Tradition that was observed also last Sunday in Tardini before the 7th Serie A round. Before the match begun, both supporters groups sang the name of the opposite team.

We use to repeat that football is made by fans, by people. This is the demonstrations: ultras organizing friendly Fans football match before the Serie A game as a chance to stay together (here the photo gallery); presidents of both Centro Coordinamento –  the organizations that coordinate all official fans clubs – embracing for the meeting in Serie A after years like old friend does.

In the picture you see well-know president of Centro Coordinamento Parma Clubs, Angelo Manfredini, and his Empoli equivalent, Athos Bagnoli: both dedicated life to their football passion and in defense of fans rights despite Tv oriented and tickets price rising policies that are keeping people far from football.
