34 years of Gemellaggio

Parma Calcio is a Family, when you come in the town and especially in Tardini you notice it. It is the kind of things it is more difficult to explain by words than to feel.

Between Parma and Empoli there is a friendship that last since 1984. On 25th November 1984 during Parma vs Empoli match in Serie B there was so much fog that some Boys Parma fans – usually located in Curva Nord – went in the opposite side of the stadium to watch at least the goal on that side, where Parma was trying to score: we were loosing 1 to 0 but Empoli fans didn’t know it because they could not see the opposite side goal because of the fog.

At the end of the mach some Parma fans that were in Curva Sud congratulate with Empoli fans for the victory and they were surprised by that since they supposed it ended with a 0 -0 draw. The chat ended up with some beers after the match and there begun one of long-lasting friendship in Italian football history.

Rivals on the field but friend outside: the link grew year by year and soon the Gemellaggio was officialized with a flags parade before a match. Tradition that was observed also last Sunday in Tardini before the 7th Serie A round. Before the match begun, both supporters groups sang the name of the opposite team.

We use to repeat that football is made by fans, by people. This is the demonstrations: ultras organizing friendly Fans football match before the Serie A game as a chance to stay together (here the photo gallery); presidents of both Centro Coordinamento –  the organizations that coordinate all official fans clubs – embracing for the meeting in Serie A after years like old friend does.

In the picture you see well-know president of Centro Coordinamento Parma Clubs, Angelo Manfredini, and his Empoli equivalent, Athos Bagnoli: both dedicated life to their football passion and in defense of fans rights despite Tv oriented and tickets price rising policies that are keeping people far from football.

As we anticipated in this post: https://parmafansworldwide.com/2018/09/18/ultras-for-amatrice/ , Italian Ultras fans, all together,  gave materially huge help to town of Amatrice, hit by terrible earthquake two years ago.

Today there has been the official inauguration ceremony.

Here you can see pictures of the tribune and the thanks plaque given to Boys Parma 1977, that donated more than 3000 euros.

More than numbers and apart preconceptions, this pictures testify what Ultras did: look carefully at this pics, no mass media will show you. On the plaque it is written “To the Ultras world that answers and that united for solidarity donate a smile to a suffering community”

Thanks to Parma Boys 1977 Facebook page to allow us in publishing the pics.

In two years we…

Gli Scarrozzati show in Collecchio has been a success.

As we already anticipated in previous posts, it was the chance for Paolo De Gregorio and his company to meet a lot of friend from Parma area: people from the Club, from the show business and normal citizens that would like to give their support to the Sacra Famiglia Institute.

At the end of the show, as usual since 2015, they sang all together a song. This year it was “We are the World” with rewritten lyrics by The Plin.

New version is titled “Fra due anni noi”, “In two years we…” and is a joke based on the mathematical fact that since 2015 every year that Gli Scarrozzati come to Parma for a show, the Club got promoted.

So, in two years we… will win Champions League 🙂

In the video you see the song sang all together for the first time with Il Plin and Gli Scarrozzati by Parma goalkeeper Pierluigi Frattali, match analyst Marco Piccioni, Alessandro and Cristiana Lucarelli (on the screen), italian artist Platinette, Paolo De Gregorio, Antonio Barone, Leonardo Cagnolati and a lot of friends and kids that spontaneously take part to the show.

Here the lyrics with a quick translation:

Questa avventura qui, che è iniziata dalla D / Come ben sai, nessuno l’ha fatta mai [This adventure that started from Serie D as you know nobody never did the same]
E’ incredibile un tris del genere / Solo Cristo, ci mise meno a risorgere [such an hat trick it is incredible / Only Christ took less for a resurrection]

E se non c’ero io, che paravo col Pordenon / Oggi eravamo, ancora a sentirci dir Bagolon
Dai cugini che, certo che sono parenti / Eppure non li ho visti mai un po’ sorridenti
[and if I was not there with my savings against Pordenone today we would be still there hearing us be called Bagoloni (disparaging nickname used by Reggiana fans) from never-smiling cousins]

Fra due anni noi, vinciam la Champions / Vinciam perchè ci abbiamo preso gusto tutti assieme [in two year we will win Champions League and we’ll win because we all get to like it all together]
Finchè gli Scarrozzati / A Collecchio passeranno
Vorrà dire che si festeggia tutti a fine anno
[Until Gli Scarrozzati will pass from Collecchio it means that we will get party all together at the end of the season]

Da quando ha smesso, mio marito di giocar / Me lo ritrovo, sempre a casa che non sa che far [Since my husbandstop to play I always find him in the house doing nothing]
Ma che dici Cri, a casa son tutto per te / Piuttosto in campo, senza di me dubito che… [but… what are you saying, Cri? At home I’m all yours otherwise on the field, without me, I doubt that…]

REFRAIN (Fra due anni noi…)

Voi avete vinto, grazie mille aiutini / Sky in D, playoff ed infine i messaggini [You won because thousands helps: Sky tv in D, Playoff and sms affair]
Ehi ehi ehi ma basta su, fatevene una ragione / Dietro all’impresa, c’è l’amor di queste persone [hey hey hey, com’on stop! Take a reason, behind the success there is the love of these people]

REFRAIN (Fra due anni noi…) X 3

Scarrozzati loves Parma

You surely already heard about them if you followed Serie D through ParmaFanzine.it. Gli Scarrozzati is a theatrical comic company made by members of Istituto Sacra Famiglia in Inzago (Milan). The institute cares about people on wheelchair (after accidents, due to Als or other) and theater activity is a way to joke on their situation and most of all to express themselves.

Paolo De Gregorio is the head of the project and a huge Parma fan and when he contacted Parma Calcio in summer 2015 – in the middle of our crisis – he anyway received Captain answer as a demonstrations of interest. Few months later Captain Lucarelli went to their show in Inzago then the friendship started and involved other players and members of Parma staff and fans. During that year Scarrozzati assisted to some match and Baraye also dedicated a goal to them: unfortunately that episode costed him a yellow card that let him loose last Serie D match against Delta Rovigo.

Do you remember Captain t-shirt to celebrate the record of scoring in 4 different catergories with the same colors? It was made as fund raising for Scarrozzati an their Institute.

Since 2016, Scarrozzati bring one of their show in Parma province and all the time it ends with a new song made by Il Plin. Last year Captain Lucarelli sang with his wife Cristiana and Il Plin a Parma edited version of Ricchi e Poveri “Che confusione”- VIDEO – and this year?

Who will step on the stage to sing Parma edited version of “We are the World”?

We will discover it on Sunday 9th at 4 pm cest at Crystal Theatre in Collecchio. Entrance 10 euro, kids for free. Reservations at +39 3341062955
